Hello! I am Melissa!
I am a self-taught Canadian pencil realist artist whose passion for realistic drawing was ignited at a young age. With more than two decades of teaching experience, I have guided thousands of students through
in-person and online drawing programs. A pioneer in online art education, I developed one of Canada’s earliest online drawing courses for community colleges and continues to inspire aspiring artists through my teaching and artwork in graphite, coloured pencil, charcoal, and pastel. As an avid photographer with a focus on nature and wildlife, my artistic pursuits are deeply connected to the beauty of the natural world.
My goal is to teach you how to draw realism and share the techniques I’ve developed over the years.
