The nose is often one of the most challenging facial features to draw realistically. Tiny shifts in value, subtle textures, and soft transitions all work together to create the illusion of three-dimensional form. Add freckles, and the level of detail becomes even more rewarding.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to draw a realistic nose using a combination of charcoal and graphite pencils. You will learn how I build smooth tonal values, create realistic skin texture, place natural-looking freckles, and use highlights and shadows to bring the drawing to life.
